About the Event

Traditional Slavic dolls called motanki are created entirely without sewing. The tradition of motanka doll goes into the deep past. A long time ago the Ukrainian doll-motanka was not just a toy, but also a talisman and home amulet, symbolizing the continuous connection between the generations. 

Each kid will make their own doll using fabric pieces, yarn and beads.

1 class $25/kid. 

For kids age 5-10. Parental supervision is required.

Please parents and kids wear or bring clothes appropriate for the weather. 

For painting classes be sure kids wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty.

Class includes: All materials and tools needed for the class. Water for kids and their parents.

Our art classes for kids series gives kids a unique opportunity to enjoy the creative process, to spend time in nature, and to learn about Ukraine at the same time. 

At each class kids will explore some aspects of Ukrainian traditions.
